The Savannah Morning News, The Philadelphia Inquirer and New Hampshire Public Radio were presented with the 2000 Batten Award April 26 at Boston University, for exemplary work in journalism with community impact. Includes comments from the winners.

St. Paul, San Francisco and Portland News Organizations Win 1999 Batten Award
Two newspapers and, KRON, a television station were presented with the 1999 Batten Award May 3 in Minneapolis, for compelling journalism that had great community impact.
